Welcome to Beyond The Beat, a video essay platform uncovering unique and interesting stories in the history of popular music. It's about the adversities these bands and artists had to overcome, what makes them tick, why they do what they do, and how they got there. The video essays are short stories on specific events or topics. Thanks for checking it out and I hope you enjoy!
Why Liam and Noel Gallagher Hate Each Other
It's been over a decade since the Gallagher brothers hit the stage as Oasis together, yet fans are still clamouring for a reunion. Despite the calls to bring back the iconic 90's British rock band, it seems Liam and Noel's hatred of each other runs much deeper than your typical brotherly squabble.

You forgot to mention that Noel did leave the band briefly & was replaced by another guitarist. But Noel came back & kept it going before finally leaving in 2009.
The shit they taugt my kids at school cool sound very similar 2 me
"Is Oasis officially dead?" Dumbest thumbnail on this side of 2009.
A Christian took a open satanists song and mafe it good. Not evil
I loved the original version of this song. And it is very rare for a cover song, to be better than the original. But this was one of those rare cases. The tone of the song just matches up perfectly, to the style of Johnny Cash. It is very nice to see that Trent appreciated this himself.
You couldn’t find a room big enough to fit them 2 egos in it! 🤣
❤❤Wonderful ❤❤
I met the dude who starred in the let’s dance video. He was a weird dude. Scitzofrenia
So nothing about L saying Ns daughter wasn’t his… ?!
Addiction doesn't discriminate
Nice ten minute breakdown of Supersonic. So it’s all about him pissing on that stereo then? 😅 Noel says it in the documentary the spark between them that made them so popular is also what drove the band in the ground in the end. My thing as a longtime fan is I hope that they are still brothers and talk, but I just cant believe they do. Ones just as stubborn as the other. Don’t think they will ever give it another go, but if they did this generations heads would explode from them slagging everyone off and not apologizing about it on social media.
Word to your mother
It’s a great tribute to you that Johnny said goodbye through your words, so powerfully. What an amazing video inspired by your song. If it’s all you ever did you could glow for the rest of your life. Thank you, brother.
Why he had so crappy guitar ?
Struck by lightning x
I think we all need a flea
fuck ya mean we need the reunion
Just gonna let this on repeat
Laugh my fuckin ass off hahaha hahaha folk rock
Does not even come close to Cash' version
Слухаю
So in short, Liam behaves like a tw*t and is incapable of growing up, and Noel doesn't want to have to deal with that.
Who is this woman we all know of?
Greatest Rock n Roll song of all time
I have a brother who cant stand me perhaps cos i was 15 when he was born now thats a gap ey.
The man in black made this song.
ZERO insight into why they "hate" each other. Worthless video other than the clips.
Lots of "opinion" here masquerading as fact...
Bon wrote a great song for Brian to sing .
They’re definitely brothers
Of course Eddie's the least talented vocalist of the 3 - but was Layne better than Chris or are they tied?
Subjective, can’t really say. I would personally disagree and in my opinion Eddie was the best vocalist of the 3.
@@THANTFANGAHSNAP 'Tsall about the range, I think.
@@LocalCoot if you value range then probably Chris, but a range isn’t necessarily talent by definition. To me talent is something you’re born with and they all have very original sounds. The range never mattered to me when Eddie Vedder could perform his songs live the way he did.
They weren't the best band in the uk,they were the best band on the fuckin planet, and for me,always will be
Oasis and Verve need to reunite and go on a world tour together and make billions of dollars and make millions of people happy.
Ya Mutt ain’t real bright, wasn’t he married to Shania Twain and cheated on her? Ya real good thought process 😂😂😂
And I always thought mutt could do no wrong.
Hope so.❤
Even the best need to shut up and let the BEST do it
Doesn't seem like they hated it at all. Seems more that Eddie viewed it as almost sacred to him.
I think this may be one of the few times where Gordon Ramsay may have actually been happy
Who are Mal and Mutt?
They cancelled the V Festival show in Chelmsford, Essex. They played at V Festival, Staffordshire, which was also their last gig that they played before breaking up.
Who cares.
2 different songs, 2 different interpretations.
He's like, "WTF is that?"
On the night of River Phoenix's death, he went to The Viper Room with his siblings Joaquin and Rain, and his girlfriend Samantha Mathis, to see Flea perform. Despite being invited to play, there was no room for River on stage. John Frusciante joined them and gave River a speedball, saying it would make him feel good. River drank it, possibly unaware it was a lethal drug mixture. He soon felt sick, took Valium, vomited, and fell unconscious. He was taken outside where he convulsed on the sidewalk. Joaquin called an ambulance, but it took about 30 minutes. Paramedics tried to revive River, but he was in cardiac arrest and died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center early on October 31, 1993, at 23 years old. John Frusciante, paranoid about being charged, locked himself in his home. Samantha Mathis later changed her story about that night, possibly to protect John. Despite the tragedy, she expressed enduring love and remembrance for River.
Was never a fan of ACDC with brian johnson
If Country is going through a grunge phase, does that mean in 4 years we’ll have our own Nu Metal? With the Country equivalent to Korn, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Deftones, and Limp Bizkit? If so, I’m in. Heck, the songs I write are literally me playing Nu Metal sounding riffs with country lyrics.
To be honest, Oasis ending was a blessing in disguise for Liam. He cleaned up his act. He took care of himself and his voice way more than he ever did during his Oasis years. In Oasis, he could be unprofessional and miss gigs or his voice could sound like Kermit the frog because he knew Noel would take on the slack. Once he realise that protection was no longer there, he cleaned up his act faster than the speed of light. If I am Noel I would be very skeptical and hesitant to get back to that life and that constant battle with Liam. Its tiring. Not to mention some of the unsavory and immature things that Liam said about Noel and his family. One day Liam wants the reunion, another day he does not. Why would Noel would want to deal with somebody like that? For me, they should find a way to become brothers again for the sake of their mother. The band comes way later down the list.
Stay away from my mother!
As long as Noel was young he had the energy to put up with Liam's antics. But once you hit 40 you realize that you aint gonna live forever and you really want more peace and tranquility in your life and want order. its really a classic "Im too old for this shit" moment. Liam is Liam and althought he is cool and iteresting in short bursts- living and working with him is another thing and I thing its not fun at all. I dont think anyone who knows him very well said that he is a wonderful human being. They always have to bite their tongue not to say somethinig bad about him. Liam is just like many people I know. They dont have an empathy switch and they dont care how their actions impact others. Im not saying that makes him evil- but its not easy. You could see from the countless interviews that Liam was the problem.
